Each setting documents baseline energy and emissions, sets a credible reduction trajectory to 2030 and 2050, and lists the capital and behavioural measures planned. The trajectory should align with the DfE strategy commitments.

Pillar requirements

Baseline energy capture for MYEE

Sub-metered consumption by fuel (gas, oil, electricity) is the MYEE backbone. Most BMS upgrades deliver the metering points needed; standalone metering retrofits cost roughly £800 per point installed.

Scope 1 vs Scope 2 measures

Scope 1 reductions come from displacing on-site combustion (gas, oil) with electrified heat. Scope 2 reductions come from reducing electricity demand and from procuring renewable electricity (PPA or REGO-backed tariff).

Credible 2030 trajectory

A credible trajectory front-loads fabric and BMS works in 2026-2028 (low CAPEX, fast payback) and sequences ASHP and solar PV in 2027-2030 (higher CAPEX, grant-supported).
