Mayor of London Greener Schools Fund

The Greener Schools Fund supports London state schools with capital and revenue grants for decarbonisation, green skills and biodiversity projects. The 2026 cycle continues the bias toward solar PV and behavioural-change projects rather than full heat-pump retrofits.

All London boroughs are in scope; eligibility is confirmed at borough Director of Education level for state-funded primaries, secondaries and SEN settings.

The Greener Schools Fund can be stacked with PSDS Phase 4 for the solar PV element of a bundled scope. Match-funding rules differ from PSDS; refer to the most recent Mayor's office guidance.

The 2025 round funded a mix of rooftop solar arrays, biodiversity playground regeneration, and climate-curriculum CPD. Award sizes ranged from £25k to £250k per school.
